2009 Bear Hunting Season

Special thanks to all our 2009 guests. Our 2009 season is over and it was one of the toughest seasons on record. We battled extreme heat, wet weather and a very late berry crop and for the first time ever, we had trouble with wolves. The wolves made the bears spooky and inconsistent on the baits. As a result, our guests had to spend more time in the stand to make our season a success.

The season ended with 25 hunters seeing over 80 bears and harvesting 19. The largest bear tipped the scales at just over 400 lbs, with the average being 180 to 200 lbs.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing our old hunting guests and look forward to meeting new hunters.

2010 dates are booking fast.
