Brown Bear lake has been producing some great pike and smallmouth bass fishing. The portage lake, Beauty, has offered our anglers excellent fast action with the lake trout. The bass have been staging and in groups and are moving in closer to the sandy banks getting ready for spawning. If all goes well (weatherwise) they should be on their beds within the next week, and will make for some excellent bass fishing. We have had some pretty cold fronts moving through and it has slowed the walleye unless in the deeper water.
